Redbreast Lustau Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey made through a collaboration between Midleton Distillery and Bodegas Lustau.
It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills. The final maturation takes place in casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Bodegas Lustau, which gives the sherried style of Redbreast.
The nose offers prunes, dates and figs with liquorice, marzipan and toasted oak. On the palate, spice is balanced by sherry richness and Spanish oak, and the finish is long, with sweetness and spice.
