Redbreast 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey, distilled at Midleton from malted and unmalted barley. It is triple distilled and matured in a mix of American oak bourbon barrels and Spanish oak Oloroso sherry butts. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is nutty, rich and oily, with dried peel, ginger, linseed and cut fruit including a touch of melon. The palate is spicy and full-bodied, with nuts, citrus, marzipan, dried fruit and a hint of sherry. The finish is long and creamy, with custard and spice.
