Gross Good Old Days (9.5%)

Gross Good Old Days is a strong craft beer at 9.5% vol from the Gross brewery in San Sebastian. It takes a modern approach to malty, generous strong beers. The malts give a rich, warm base, balanced by a light bitterness, and the beer stays easy to drink despite its strength. Served lightly chilled, at 8 to 10°C, it suits rich dishes, grilled meats and mature cheeses. The nose has caramel, biscuit and cereal, with ripe fruit and a little spice. The palate is full, with malt, brown sugar and candied fruit. The finish is long, malty and slightly sweet, with warmth from the alcohol.
