Gwalarn Pure Malt is a blended malt from the Celtic Whisky Distillerie in Brittany, made only from malted barley whiskies of Celtic origin. The distillery stands on the coast at Pleubian and works with direct-fired copper pot stills.
The spirit is matured in bourbon casks and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings fresh sea air, ripe fruit and a little vanilla. The palate is grainy, with honey, toffee and a light peat note. The finish is soft and long, with maritime touches and a hint of spice.
