Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is a no-age-statement single malt from Suntory's Hakushu distillery, in the foothills of Mount Kaikomagatake in the Southern Japanese Alps. It combines lightly peated and heavily peated malts and is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is light gold in colour, though the bottle is green. The nose has peppermint, melon and cucumber, and the palate yuzu, grapefruit and lemon thyme. The finish is long and refreshing, with a hint of smokiness at the end.
