Hakushu – Distiller's Reserve (70cl)

Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is a single malt from Suntory's Hakushu distillery, set in the forests of the Japanese Southern Alps, in a 70cl bottle. It carries no age statement. The blender combines whiskies of different ages and cask types, including lightly and heavily peated malts and others matured in a range of oak. The distillery draws on water from the Ojiro River. The nose has green apple, mint, citrus zest and a little smoke. The palate offers kiwi, pear and a hint of pine, with gentle smokiness. The finish is clean and fresh, with lasting smoke and herbal notes.
