This is a peated Japanese single malt from Hakushu, a Suntory distillery, in an 18cl bottle at 48% ABV. It is a distillery exclusive edition from 2024. The whisky was matured in Spanish and American oak. Hakushu's spirit is slightly more floral, with a mizunara character, and the peat here is light, earthy and orange-like, in the manner of Bowmore. The distillery was built in 1973 at the foot of the Southern Japan Alps.
