Hatozaki Triple Cask Reserve is a Japanese blended malt without an age statement, from the Kaikyo Distillery in Akashi, Hyogo. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is the distillery's third permanent release.
The name refers to three casks: ex-bourbon and ex-sherry for the first maturation, then a further six months in barrels that held Akashi-Tai's Umeshu plum liqueur. Master Blender Kimio Yonezawa chose the finish for its intense plum aromas and subtle sweetness.
It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring.
