Heartgow Winter 2021 is a single malt from the Hercynian Distilling Co. in Germany's Harz region. It is part of the distillery's Seasonal Collection and was bottled in November 2021 under the bottle code L2062.
The whisky matured in first-fill sherry, port and Malaga hogsheads. Only 1,056 bottles were filled at 48%, in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose is usually described as dark fruit, raisins, sweet grapes, spice and fine chocolate. The palate is full and fruity, with dried fruit, berries, spicy oak and sweet dessert wine notes, and the finish is long, warm and spicy, with lingering fruit sweetness.
