Heaven's Door Exploration Series I is a Tennessee straight bourbon finished in Calvados casks, bottled at 54% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Heaven's Door was created by Bob Dylan together with Marc Bushala, founder of Angel's Envy.
The base is the brand's own Tennessee straight bourbon. The Calvados casks, which held Normandy apple brandy aged in French oak, add notes of fresh cider and baked apples.
The nose shows intense apple, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon and fine vanilla. The palate brings toast, roasted apple, pastry, caramel and biscuits. The finish is dry and spicy with a light fruit sweetness, apple, and oak alongside cinnamon.
