Heaven's Door Refuge Straight Rye Finished in Sherry Casks (75cl, 46%)

Refuge is a straight rye whiskey from Heaven's Door, finished in sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a small batch release created in partnership with Bob Dylan, and a standalone expression rather than part of the Decade Series. The sherry finish adds fruit and nutty notes to the rye spice. On the nose there are ripe figs, toasted almonds and dried cherry. The palate brings spicy rye grain, honey and dark fruit compote, followed by a lingering warmth with silky sherry sweetness.
