This is a straight rye whiskey from Heaven's Door, the range created by singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. It is bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey is finished in toasted oak barrels, cigar-shaped and made from oak from the French Vosges. On the nose, sweet notes meet the spiciness of the rye, with coconut, aniseed and orange. The palate is broad, with rye, peppery spice, cream, chocolate, cherries and vanilla. The finish is long, with wood and spice to the fore.
