Heaven's Door Tennessee Straight Bourbon was created by Bob Dylan together with Marc Bushala, founder of Angel's Envy Bourbon, in a 140-year-old church in Tennessee. It is bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle.
The bourbon was matured for around 8 years in new American oak. An unusually high proportion of rye in the mash gives it a firm character. The bottle shows the iron gate that Bob Dylan made at his Black Buffalo Ironworks studio.
The nose has cedar wood, vanilla, summer berries, cocoa and toasted grain. The palate brings festive spices, vanilla pods and buttery corn and rye warmth. The finish is long, with vanilla, peanut brittle, nutmeg and baked bread.
