Hellyers Road – The Journeyman Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

The Journeyman is a small batch single malt from Hellyers Road Distillery in Australia, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a marriage of 12 year old American oak casks and 5 year old Port casks. The whisky was mashed, fermented and bottled on site, and it is described as a replacement for the old Hellyers Road Original 12 year old. On the nose it offers green leaf, tea, marmalade, salted bread and honeycomb. The palate brings pretzel and raisin toast, moving to orange blossom oils. The finish is of medium length with a delicate herbal weave.
