Botrytis cask
This is an Australian single malt from the Starward Distillery in Melbourne, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is a 2017 release matured in Botrytis casks. Starward makes its whisky from ingredients grown in its own region, and it matures mostly in lightly charred or steamed red wine barrels from Australian wineries. Three years in those barrels is enough for a fruity maturity, helped by Melbourne's climate, where the weather can change several times in a day and the average temperature reaches up to 22.5°C.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
