Starward Left-Field is an Australian single malt from the Starward distillery in Melbourne, in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled entirely from local ingredients. It matures only in French oak casks that previously held red wine from two Australian wine regions, Barossa Valley and Yarra Valley. During maturation the whisky takes on character from the wood. The palate is described as rich and spicy, with the red wine adding a burst of flavour.
