A single cask German single malt from the Hercynian Distilling Co. in the Harz, matured in a first fill Banyuls barrique. Cask #615 was bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 62.9%, and 235 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The sweetness of the Banyuls wine meets the spicy Alrik style of the distillery, with ripe fruit, apricot, orange and honey alongside almonds, rum raisins, coffee and light smoke.
The nose is sweet and fruity with spice and soft wood smoke. The palate is creamy and powerful, and the finish is long and sweet.
