Hibiki 21 Years Old (75cl)

Hibiki 21 Years Old is a Japanese blended whisky from Suntory, made from aged malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu and grain whisky from Chita, each matured separately before blending. The casks include American oak, Spanish oak and Mizunara, a Japanese oak associated with incense, sandalwood and spice. The colour is bronze amber. The nose offers sandalwood, honeycomb, caramelised nuts, ripe banana and sherry spice, with a distinct Mizunara incense note. On the palate come cooked fruit, dried apricot, dark cherry, caramel and baking spice. The finish is long, with incense, smoke and a warmth that lingers for several minutes.
