Suntory – Ao World Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Suntory Ao is a blended world whisky in a 700ml bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. Its name means 'blue', a nod to the oceans that link whisky's five great traditions: Irish, Scottish, Canadian, American and Japanese. Fifth generation Suntory chief blender Shinji Fukuyo chose the whiskies, which include Ardmore and Glen Garioch from Scotland, Cooley from Ireland, Alberta from Canada, Jim Beam from the United States, and Yamazaki and Hakushu from Japan. The nose is bright vanilla and pineapple-like fruit over creamy sweetness. The palate is smooth and sweet, with gradual smokiness and cinnamon spice, and the finish is sweet, smoky and woody.
