High Coast Timmer (70cl, 48%)

Timmer is a peated single malt from High Coast, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks, a mix of 130-litre quarter casks and 200-litre barrels, and the malt is peated to 39 to 46 ppm phenol. The name means timber. Launched in May 2020 as part of the Origins series, it recalls the people who floated logs down the Ångermanälven in difficult conditions. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. Pear and vanilla show on the nose, campfire smoke and rich vanilla sweetness on the palate, and citrus and ash in the finish.
