High West Manhattan is a ready-to-drink Manhattan batched at the distillery in Park City, Utah. It combines straight bourbon and straight rye whiskey with sweet vermouth and aromatic bitters, using a 2:1 ratio of whiskey to vermouth.
The cocktail is rested in used rye barrels and bottled without chill filtration. The bourbon is made from 75% corn and the rye from 95% rye, both distilled by MGP.
The nose offers black cherry, stewed strawberry, orange peel, molasses and cinnamon bark. The palate brings cherry turnover, spiced apple and raisin with candied orange rind and savoury spice. The finish carries orange pastry, dark chocolate and dried fig.
