Highland Park 10 Year Old is a single malt from Orkney, an archipelago of some 70 islands. The distillery has been making whisky there for more than two centuries and uses peat cut from its own grounds, which gives a soft smoke and honeyed sweetness.
The whisky is matured mainly in European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks.
It is typically described as having crushed citrus fruit and lightly whipped vanilla cream, with hints of heather honey in the peat smoke and a trace of peppery spice.
