Highland Park 12 Year Old is the core single malt from the distillery on Orkney, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured for 12 years in European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks. The malt includes up to 20% of the distillery's own floor-malted, peated barley, made with peat from Hobbister Moor.
The nose brings heather honey, ripe oranges, winter spices and fruitcake with a light wisp of peat smoke. The palate offers honey, orange zest, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla alongside heather peat. The finish is sweet and lingering, with woodsmoke, warm spice and gentle oak.
