Highland Park 12 Year Old Viking Honour is an Orkney single malt, aged for at least 12 years and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It matures in European and American oak casks seasoned with sherry, using both first-fill and refill casks. Part of the barley is dried over Orkney peat from Hobbister Moor, and the distillery keeps a traditional malting floor.
The nose is typically described as heather honey, peat smoke, fresh citrus and winter spices. The palate brings creamy vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and orchard fruit. The finish is medium to long, with sweet smoke, oak spice and honeyed malt.
