Highland Park 17 Year Old Between You and I by Laila Gohar is a single malt from the distillery in Kirkwall on Orkney, bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is the second release in Highland Park's collaboration series with artists. Master Whisky Maker Marc Watson created it with New York-based Egyptian artist Laila Gohar, who responded to the whisky with tasting notes of their own. The memories and associations those notes inspired appear as illustrations on the packaging. The whisky matured for a minimum of 17 years in bourbon casks. The nose brings leather, orange blossom and sweet vanilla. On the palate, floral, fruity and spicy notes meet vanilla sweetness and leather, and the finish is long and warming, with vanilla and a soft, dry leather note.
