Highland Park – 1967/2007 40 Year Old John Scott's (70cl, 47.1%)

This is a 40 year old Highland Park, distilled in 1967 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2007 at a natural strength of 47.1%. It comes from cask 6687 and was filled into 168 bottles of 70cl. The cask is one of the last twelve laid down in the sixties by Robert Firth Miller, whose business, John Scott's, was a grocery store in Kirkwall, Orkney. He received twelve sherry casks of new make spirit as payment for work done at the distillery. Between 2003 and 2009 Duncan Taylor bottled all of them, some under the John Scott's name.
