A single malt from Highland Park, distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2015 after 23 years in a single oak cask. It was bottled by the Italian independent bottler Silver Seal for its Wildlife Collection, at a cask strength of 51.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines honey, heather smoke, dried orange peel, dark chocolate, cinnamon and toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied, with dried fruit, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla custard, plus gentle smoke and a hint of sea salt. The finish is long and warming, with sweet peat smoke, dried fruit and oak spice, ending dry.
