Highland Park 40 Year Old is a single malt bottled at 47.5% ABV after forty years of maturation. A high proportion of the whisky was matured in European oak casks seasoned with first-fill sherry.
It is described as very complex and beautifully balanced. Layers of smoke give way to delicately sweet notes of caramel, dark chocolate and candied lemon.
