Highland Park – Valknut

Highland Park Valknut is a single malt Scotch whisky from Orkney, where the distillery has been making whisky for more than two centuries. The distillery cuts its own peat from its grounds, and that peat is part of what gives the whisky its soft smoke and honeyed sweetness. On the nose, warming peat smoke comes with fresh vanilla, thyme honey and sandalwood, followed by toasted barley, fennel seed and cinnamon. Flamed orange peel, a light touch of barbecue char, gingerbread and nutmeg sit underneath.
