This is an 8 year old single malt from Highland Park on Orkney, distilled in 2016 and bottled at 55% in a 70cl bottle for Soho Selection. It was filled into brand-new oak and stayed there for its whole maturation.
Hay, elderflower and orchard fruit sit alongside the subtle floral peat smoke associated with the distillery.
The official notes describe a nose of gentle bonfire smoke, hay, cinnamon, elderflower, apples and floral incense. The palate is warming and tangy, with citrus peel, chilli, rosewater, milk chocolate, rhubarb and a dandelion and burdock note. The finish is long, with lingering floral smoke.
