Highland Park – Cask Strength Heather (70cl, 63.6%)

Highland Park Cask Strength Heather is an official single malt from the Orkney distillery, bottled undiluted at 63.6% in a 70cl bottle. The malting uses peat-smoked heather from Hobbister Moor, which gives the whisky a gentle smoky character. The spirit is twice distilled in copper stills and matured in oak casks. On the nose there is subtle smoke with heather honey, dried fruit and a hint of tar. The palate brings chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla fudge, hazelnut and orange over a smoky undertone, and the finish is long and warming with spice, vanilla and light smoke.
