Highland Park – Cask Strength Release No 1 (70cl, 63.3%)

This is the first bottling in a new Highland Park series, a single malt Scotch bottled at cask strength, 63.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is made for drinkers who like a robust dram with a good measure of smoke. The nose opens after a brief pause with smoke, honey, violet, pear, vanilla and wood. The palate has an oily texture, with smoke, toffee, lemon, nutmeg and a hint of wood. The finish is medium in length, with orange and spice.
