Highland Park – Cask Strength Release No. 3 (64.1%)

Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 3 is the third edition of the distillery's cask strength series, bottled at 64.1% ABV directly from the cask without reduction. It combines first-fill sherry casks of American and European oak with a small share of refill casks to keep it balanced. A high proportion of peated Orkney malt is added. The colour is a deep gold. The nose brings smoky peat, burnt oak, honeyed iced lemon and star anise. The palate is fresh and sweet, with ripe mango, heather honey, vanilla cream, violets and grapefruit, and the finish is long with heather peat.
