Highland Park Dragon Legend is a single malt from the Orkney Islands, bottled at 43.1% in a 70cl bottle. It draws on the Viking heritage of Orkney and the dragons of Nordic folklore.
The malt is made with Scottish barley and peat from Hobbister Moor, and the spirit is distilled in copper pot stills with upward-tilted lyne arms. It matures in oak casks, with an emphasis on sherry-seasoned European and American oak.
On the nose there is peat smoke, vanilla custard, citrus peel and cinnamon over heather honey. The palate brings smoky sweetness, winter spices, crystallised ginger and toasted oak, and the finish is long, with sweet peat and dried fruit.
