Hinch – 5 Year Old Double Wood (70cl, 43%)

Hinch 5 Year Old Double Wood is an Irish whiskey bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spent four years in selected ex-bourbon casks before a finish in American oak, which gives it a golden colour and further complexity. It comes from Hinch Distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland, founded to bring together the softness of triple-distilled Irish whiskey and the boldness of Scotch. The nose is marked by citrus fruit. On the palate the citrus meets spicy mocha notes, and the medium finish is dominated by wood and spices.
