Hinch – Peated Irish Single Malt Whiskey (70cl, 43%)

Hinch Peated is an Irish single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak and in Madeira and Oloroso sherry casks, chosen by the head distiller. It is made at Hinch Distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland. The nose has ashy smoke like a coastal fire, heathery coal dust and a fine sweetness of grilled pineapple. On the palate it is intense and smoky, with smoked rock salt, freshly ground black pepper and velvety honey, while dark chocolate adds depth. The finish is long, with lingering sweet smoke and chocolate notes.
