Hinch – Single Pot Still (70cl, 43%)

This is Hinch Single Pot Still, an Irish whiskey bottled at 43%. Part of the whiskey matures in bourbon casks and part in sherry butts. Hinch is an independent distillery in County Down, Northern Ireland, founded with the aim of bringing together the softness of Irish whiskey and the boldness of the Scottish tradition. Tasting notes describe cinnamon cream, citrus peel and melted butter on the nose. The palate joins herbal and sponge biscuit notes with pronounced spice, and the finish is dry and spicy.
