Holyrood Distillery – Noir Collection Premier Cru Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This is a single malt Scotch whisky from Holyrood Distillery in Edinburgh, released as the Premier Cru bottling in its Noir Collection. Holyrood is the first operating whisky distillery in central Edinburgh since 1925. It is housed in a former railway shed from 1831 beside Holyrood Park. Rob Carpenter, a Canadian who also founded the Canadian branch of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, first imagined the distillery in 2013. He opened it in 2019 with his wife Kelly and co-founder David Robertson, focusing on heritage malts, specialty malts and varied yeasts.
