A 15-year-old barrel proof American whiskey from Hooten Young, bottled at 62.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a limited edition, poured from second fill charred American oak barrels.
The release marks the 28th anniversary of the Battle of Mogadishu. On 3 October 1993, US forces were ordered to capture the Somali warlord Mohammed Farah Aidid as part of Operation Gothic Serpent. Hooten Young's president, retired Delta Force MSgt Norm Hooten, helped lead the 18-hour mission, a story later retold in Black Hawk Down.
