Hordeum 2019/2023 Version Française (70cl, 48%)

A French malt whisky from Hordeum, distilled in 2019 and bottled in 2023 at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the Version Française series, and is non-chill-filtered with no added colour. The whisky matured in new oak casks (Chêne Neuf), which give it a pronounced wood character alongside a balance of freshness and strong flavour. The nose combines strong oak with subtle spice and malt. The palate is full-bodied, with intense roasted notes, fruity touches and a fine spiciness. The finish is long and warming, with lasting wood and vanilla.
