Hudson Calvados Cask Rye is a straight rye whiskey from New York, distilled from local grain and described as bold and grain-forward. It is sold in a 750ml bottle.
It was aged for 3.5 years in new charred American oak barrels, then finished for a further 3.5 years in ex-calvados casks, which add a subtle fruitiness.
On the nose there are rich vanilla, citrus and corn bread. The palate brings lingering cashew butter and caramel.
