A 24 year old Speyside single malt from Inchgower, distilled in 1990 and bottled by Maltbarn from a bourbon cask, number 41. It comes at 51.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is bright and fruity but restrained, with white grapes, lime, canary melon and white peach, alongside cut grass, white flowers, lemon yoghurt and caraway. The palate stays citrusy, with lime, pear, vanilla and green apple, some oiliness and a little pepper, then liquorice and oak. The finish is medium long, with lime, spices and a light salty touch.
