Invergordon – 1997 24 Year Old Single Cask Strength (70cl, 53.9%)

This is a 24 year old single grain whisky from Invergordon, distilled in 1997 and bottled in November 2022. It comes from a single bourbon barrel and is bottled at a cask strength of 53.9%. It was released by Hunter Laing under its Sovereign label, which is used for single cask, full strength bottlings. The nose has vanilla, toffee and mild forest fruits. Blackcurrant, apple and chocolate-covered raisins appear on the palate, and the finish is very long, with a lasting spiciness.
