Ireland 1999 – The Nectar of the Daily Drams – 16 Year Old (70cl, 53.5%)

This is a 16 year old Irish single malt from The Nectar of the Daily Drams, an independent bottling released jointly with La Maison du Whisky. It was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2015. It is bottled at a cask strength of 53.5% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The nose is very fruity, with mango, banana, grapefruit, lemon, yellow and exotic fruit, fresh herbs, tea and a slightly waxy touch. The palate is lively, fruity and spicy, with banana, citrus, lemonade, ginger, pepper, liquorice and green tea. The finish runs medium to long, on fruit, tea, herbs, citrus and liquorice.
