Isle of Harris Single Malt is the first single malt release from the distillery on East Loch Tarbert in the Outer Hebrides, which had built its early reputation on its own gin. The first distillation took place in 2015, and the whisky made its debut in autumn 2023 across eight batches. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from Concerto barley and matured in first-fill ex-bourbon, ex-oloroso and ex-fino sherry casks.
Reviewers describe gentle peat smoke, wildflowers, toasted malt and honeysuckle on the nose, and a creamy palate with liquorice, peach and apple, followed by a whisper of tobacco in the finish.
