The Hearach is the first single malt release from Isle of Harris Distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, made in small batches and non-chill filtered.
The whisky is crafted and bottled on the Isle of Harris, Scotland. Dried fruit, nutty tones and sherry warmth lead its character.
The nose brings sultanas, toasted almonds, cinnamon, honeycomb and dried orange peel. On the palate it is rich and silky, with raisins, clove, nutmeg, toffee and oak. The long finish keeps a sherry sweetness with a coastal, mineral edge.
