The Hearach Oloroso is a lightly peated single malt from Isle of Harris Distillery in the Outer Hebrides, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky matured entirely in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, with the casks coming from the José y Miguel Martín cooperage in Bollullos Par Del Condado, Huelva. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose brings cinnamon, dried orange peel and cloves, with green herbs and a hint of white chocolate. On the palate come red fruits, vanilla and walnut fudge, then wood smoke and dried thyme. The finish is medium-long, with coffee, cereal and gentle spice.
