A lightly peated single malt from Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert, in Scotland's Outer Hebrides, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The name is Gaelic for a native of Harris.
It is made from Concerto barley peated to 12-15 ppm and fermented in wooden washbacks, with part of the production given a 70-hour fermentation and the rest 120 hours. It is non-chill filtered and without added colour.
The nose brings orange peel, lime zest, heathery peat smoke, pear, vanilla and honeycomb. The palate has gentle smoke, toasted malt, apple sauce, candied ginger and spice, with a little sherry cask influence. The finish is long, with clotted cream, leather and smouldering peat.
