This Isle of Jura is a 16 year old single malt bottled by The Whisky Agency in its Wave Farewell To 2025 series. It was distilled in 2009, bottled in 2025 and matured in a Tawny Port barrel. It is bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is maritime, with discreet smoke and a sweetness of honey and ripe fruit. The palate balances spicy wood, creamy caramel and subtle citrus, with a touch of salt and a hint of peat. The finish is long and warming, with gentle spice and a little oak.
