Dùn Cana is the First Edition from Isle of Raasay, a single malt bottled at 52% ABV. It is named after a mountain plateau that is one of the highest points on the island. The spirit combines peated and unpeated malt, matured first in American rye casks and then in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry quarter casks. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
Sultanas and other dried fruit sit alongside creamy vanilla, with peppery spice, roasted nuts, white pepper and sea salt. The finish brings salted chocolate and a faint trace of aromatic wood smoke.
